Charles Ray - Fire Truck, LACMA.

Don't think that fire prevention and art go hand in hand? Well, think again. Charles Ray re-imagined a child's toy fire engine at actual hook & ladder truck dimensions for installation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Accurate down to the decal dashboard and shiny plastic surface, this is a fun and engaging piece of art. In a major way, this piece represents the same playful spirit that we share in the development of Fire Station Arts Community Center. Have any other examples of fire department related art? We'd love to see them.
